info for schools and organisations

booking a course.

If you would like to reserve or make a booking for a training we give a number of options for making a payment. You are able to pay directly by bank transfer online or if you wish to speak to someone to for an alternative payment option please do give us a call to discuss your needs.

The Training costs are based upon delivering within one hour by train or 30 miles from central London. Travel costs are then to be paid as an addition to the original base training session which can be discussed by phone and confirmed in writing at least 30 days prior to the training date. 

The costs do not include venue hire or refreshments.

receiving support

As parents and carers we want our children to grow up to become independent and resilient, with the ability to work through life's challenges for themselves. However, there are times when a young person may require help and guidance to work through issues to give them an opportunity to voice or share their concerns. It is not always easy to find the right support that works for your child and family. peoplemaking enables counselling support to be more accessible, making it easier to meet with a professional counsellor within a school environment. We work with presenting issues such as anxiety, anger, bereavement, depression and self-harm.

how to book a counsellor or parental support

You can book online via this website or you can speak with someone over the phone. Our bookings page gives you the opportunity to easily arrange for your child to meet with a specialist; scroll down the page until you find your school centre and then click on 'book'. This will take you through to a calendar where available dates and times are shown. 

what happens after you book an appointment ?

You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and the counsellor or specialist will receive a notification of your booking details. You will receive a call or email within 24hrs to confirm arrangements for the day with details of timings.

We will do everything we reasonably can to accommodate changes in the event of cancellation or amendments.

do you provide other ways to support my child ?

Our online SKYPE service may provide a more practical alternative to visiting a counsellor in person. Some young people prefer to engage through this approach, resulting in a more productive experience. We also offer an Outreach Service whereby a home visit may be possible if you are unable to visit one of our centres.

With a growing need for specialist pastoral support and budgets becoming even more stretched, schools are finding it challenging to preserve their well-being provision. peoplemaking provides a sustainable and viable solution to maintain and enhance the emotional well-being of students and the wider school community.

Our specialists are accustomed to working in educational environments and are able to guide and support schools and their staff where appropriate. Because we are based within an educational setting we are able to respond swiftly and can address presenting issues or concerns in a shorter period of time. All of our counsellors have enhanced DBS checks  and insurance and have an extensive knowledge of safeguarding. We work with issues such as anxiety, self-esteem, self-harm, bereavement and exam stress.
